This weekend's 4.5 mile run didn't happen...busy weekend. Holly ran the Flying Pig half-marathon in Cincinnati (www.flyingpigmarathon.com) in 2:18:47! You go girlfriend!! Next year we'll have to get organized sooner so we can run it together...maybe make it a girls' weekend.
Ran 2 miles tonight, decided to push the pace and see what I could maintain. Also remembered to hydrate today at work. It paid off...20:06! Just over a 10-minute mile, even with a few 5-second walking breaks.
3 miles tomorrow, 2 miles Thursday, and then this weekend Holly and I are running a 5K. My goal is to break 33 minutes for the 5K.
Amazing...I've shaved almost 5 minutes off my mile pace since I started running last summer. =)

Good for you!!
Hi Ashley! Thanks for visiting the blog and leaving a comment. I responded on my blog but I thought I'd leave you a message here too. I push the little guy in a jogging stroller and it has been a huge help in training. Sometimes when my hubby is at work, our older kids will ride their bikes next to me as I push the stroller. Most of the time I try to run when they are in school and my hubby is home so I don't have to push the little one. But I'll always opt to push him rather than miss a training run. When I'm actively marathon training, I'll usually get up and run at 5 a.m. before the kids get up. I can't run late at night because then I won't sleep for hours and hours.
Keep up the good work! As long as you continue to enjoy running, you'll continue to get better at it. It's all about liking what you're doing! :)
